The city of Sibiu, Romania

Sibiu, Romania – 2024. In May 2024 I worked on a volunteer project for the Fuller Center for Housing in Romania. Following the build 14 members of the build team went on a five day walking tour in central Transylvania. We ended our second day hike in the town of Cisnadioara then traveled to Sibiu for lunch and a tour of the old city. Sibiu is known for Germanic architecture in its old town, a legacy of 12th-century Saxon settlers. Around the city are the remains of medieval walls and towers, historic churches and open squares surrounded by beautiful old building.
